For thousands of children and adolescents, the emergency is not over: their homes and schools are unsafe and uninhabitable, their routines have been disrupted, and many have had to remain in temporary shelters, with less privacy, stability, and support networks.

Under these conditions, their vulnerability increases. The absence of a home, of school, and of stable adult caregivers can expose them to different forms of violence: psychological violence, and physical and sexual abuse.

But there’s another emergency that also needs our attention: mental health. Donate now!

Fear, anxiety, stress, and traumatic experiences can leave deep scars on a child’s life. That’s why, today, rebuilding walls is not enough. We must also rebuild safety, trust, bonds, and hope.

At FAN Fundación, we are committed to bringing hope and emotional healing to Chocó, Risaralda, Quindío, Caldas, and Valle del Cauca through Jugar para Sanar (Play to Heal), a high-impact therapeutic model with measurable results and proven experience in Colombia and Mexico. Through play, art, and color, it helps children process trauma, fear, and grief, and builds their resilience.

But we can’t do this alone. That’s why we invite you to join this collective initiative to restore emotional wellbeing and mental health, build support networks, and strengthen resilience in children, adolescents, and families.

FAN Fundación and Centro Comercial Santafé Medellín have joined forces to bring hope to families affected by the earthquake in Chocó.

Through the sale of plants from the “Tapete de Flores” initiative—one of the largest flower carpets in the world—the impact of FAN Fundación’s “Jugar para Sanar” (Play to Heal) program will be expanded throughout this region, reaching thousands of children, adolescents, and families affected by this emergency. In addition, Santafé Medellín will make a donation equal to the total amount raised from the sale of the plants, thereby doubling the impact of every contribution.
